Partnerships

WISE has partnered community-based organisations and youth-led teams in Cambodia to deliver community development and capacity building projects. We are actively developing and seeking partnerships in Indonesia to start community development and behaviour change projects, and are also open to exploring partnerships in Southeast Asia in line with our programs.

Local partner NOD joined the community assessment capacity building workshop (Battambang, Cambodia)

Existing partnerships
Community development: WISE works with Neakpoan Organization for Development (NOD) on the Phnom sanitation project (Tbong Khmum, Cambodia) and Community Training Organization for Development (CTOD, formerly DARE) on the Tapon drought project (Battambang, Cambodia). We signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NOD and the Preah Theat Commune Council in October 2017.

Capacity building: With a team of Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Academic Fellows, the community assessment capacity building (CACB) workshop organising team is providing a post-workshop seed fund and mentoring to the Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM) project (Phnom Penh, Cambodia).

Behaviour change: We are in discussions with Generasi Semangat Selalu Ikhlas (GSSI) to implement the Kopo zero waste project (Bandung, Indonesia).

Benefits of partnering WISE
Depending on the needs of the partner and project, WISE can contribute expertise and volunteers, as well as help with fundraising efforts. Moving forward, we aim to build the capacity of our local partners on a more strategic level.

Want to partner?
WISE is seeking to develop new projects in Flores and Bangka Belitung in Indonesia. If your organisation is based in any of these locations, consider partnering us. We are also open to exploring opportunities in line with our community development, capacity building, and behaviour change programs. Ask about partnerships at programs@washinseasia.org.
